Elderflower - Sambucus nigra

Knowledge of its healing properties dates back to the distant past, as evidenced by the writings of Hippocrates. This precious plant grows as a wild plant, does not require any care, and gives us its flowers every year in May. Elderflower originates from Europe and North America and grows as a shrub or a small tree.
Her specific taste of honey served as an inspiration for many alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Salvia officinalis

Perennial, honey resin scented, a semi-shrub plant of irresistible smell and aroma. Its full bloom, in our region, starts in the second half of May and the beginning of June. In ancient Rome, known as the Holy Plant, it originated in small Asia and Eastern Europe. It had the status of panacea in ancient Greece and Rome – a cure for all diseases. The Roman proverb talks about how much she was appreciated.

” Cur moriatur ho, cui salvia crescit in horto?” – Why should a man die in whose garden sage grows. Its healing properties are still known today, and the English name sage in translation means wisdom.
